Some recent discussions have highlighted a number of suggestions for our collective consideration:-
- Create a recognition program to honour our Caribbean Amateur Radio Operators. Let us remember the service of those already SK, and send the award to surviving family members. Older members will have to appraise us of the 'history' of the network. This idea will require a mechanism of financing or a corporate donation to cover expenses.
- As the CEWN is by design; a structured, hierarchical traffic net, lets us have a more social component in the (December to May) 'OFF' season. That is to say; we invoke the net, call for Emergency and/or Priority traffic, Maritime Mobiles / Aeronautical Mobiles / Mobiles, QRP or Stations operating under difficult circumstances, and Weather Reports / observations. There will be NO roll call, but just check-ins. QSO's will be permitted on the net frequency to allow friendships to blossom and grow.
- Create a Wednesday social evening on the alternate 7.162 after 0030 UTC. Just a great old rag-chew.
- Actively seek YL and XYL participation on the CEWN. Go as far to have designated sessions chaired by women.
- Actively seek young members; as in time, we older ones will be no more. How we are remembered is in our hands.
- Request and have ratified by the Amateur Radio clubs / societies in each country; the adoption of the CEWN as the default En-Comm Network for the region. Training in message handling/procedures will occur at this level.

- Create the 'Caribbean Amateur Radio Union' that will assimilate the CEWN into its structure. it will determine the operational rules and select operators that fit that criteria. It seeks to represent the region in all things concerning amateur radio.
- Suggest that CDERA / CDEMA assimilate the CEWN into its existing structure and mandate and chart the Net's way forward.
